While living in Edinburgh, I started working with founders and small teams to shape their online presence — helping clarify their offer, structure content, and design clean, user-friendly websites that reflect their brand. Now that I'm back in Auckland, I’m continuing that work: taking care of the full process end to end, from planning the roadmap and timeline to defining structure, messaging, and visual direction. I handle delivery myself using tools like Webflow, or bring in collaborators when needed — keeping things moving, on track, and up to a high standard.

James has proven to be both flexible and reliable throughout this project. He successfully implemented the new iteration of our Webflow-generated website while staying within budget and delivering ahead of schedule. His efficiency and adaptability made this project a success. Excellent work, James.
I had the pleasure of working with James on a significant overhaul of our organisation’s website, and I can’t speak highly enough of the experience. From the beginning, James brought a huge amount of care and strategic thinking to the project. He took the time to understand our goals, our audience, and how people were engaging with the existing site. The process he led was thoughtful and collaborative, resulting in a final product that’s intuitive, user-friendly, and genuinely aligned with who we are.James consistently went above, not just delivering what was asked, but proactively suggesting and implementing improvements that added real value. His responsiveness and flexibility were also outstanding, particularly when the pressure was on during New Zealand Music Month. His design sensibility was exactly what we’d been looking for: modern, clear, and engaging, while still appropriate for a Government funded organisation. He invested far more time and care into the project than we ever expected, and the result is something we’re incredibly proud of.I’d recommend James without hesitation, he’d be an asset to any project or team.

My partner and I recently worked with James on a project which is near and dear to our hearts. His ability to get the essence of what we were trying to say was truly remarkable. He nailed the tone and the look so seamlessly, we were blown away at how easy it was. He is gifted at putting the right words together to tell the story of a brand. And the look and feel of our website is truly beautiful but simple, clear and easy to navigate too. And did I mention, he is an amazing person to work with. His communication was excellent. Every milestone met. We are looking for more work... just to spend more time with him!!! I couldn't recommend him more. Feel free to message me for a direct reference.
